Computing for Absolute Beginners (10 classes)
If you have had little or no experience with computers, this course is for you as it develops basic skills and confidence. Instruction begins with how to use a mouse and keyboard, access programs, use printers and disks, and goes on to introduce word-processing to write letters, Internet, Email and file management.

Beginners Plus - Productivity Programs (6 classes)
Explores a variety of commonly used computer programs and develops basic skills. Programs included cover desktop publishing for cards and newsletters, spreadsheets to handle figures, and word processing for letter writing.
Beginners Plus – World Wide Web
(6 classes)
Develops basic skills in using the Internet to access a number of useful sites for shopping, banking, travel, etc. and explores facilities with Email to build contact lists, manage mail messages and attach text and photographs. The course also explores computer security, identifying threats to your computer and implementing virus protection.
Beginners Plus – Website Design
(6 classes)
Explores how to design a website for personal use or business. The course begins by looking at a variety of websites to identify good design practices, and explores how to apply these techniques to your own information as you build your website.
Beginners Plus - Digital Lifestyles
(6 classes)
Looking at the ways computers impact on our lives, through digital image recording with cameras and camcorders, music and entertainment and social networking.

This unit is designed to develop familiarity with database software, database concepts, selection/ query and presentation tools. It accredits the use of database software to enter, amend, and retrieve information from an existing database and produce tables, queries and reports.

This unit is designed to develop a sound understanding of desktop publishing concepts and the use of page layout tools. It accredits skills to import text and image files to produce and print a publication.
